A team from Beachner Bros. Livestock/Mill Creek Ranch of Erie and Ft. Scott won the Kansas Championship Ranch Rodeo (KCRR), finishing in the top three in two events. The rodeo was held September 28 in Medicine Lodge. Members of the winning team are Calvin Kendall, Cody Kendall, Caden Kendall, Coy Hyer, Logan Delinte and Gary Herrin. The team placed first in branding and tied for third in bronc riding.
In second place was Sweetwater Cattle Company/Broken H from Newkirk, OK, and Bronson. They finished first in stray gathering, second in bronc riding and third in team penning. Members of the team are JR Ramey, Tate McClure, Kevin Lawson, Patrick Prater, Cliff Hall and Brock Hall.
Hat Creek Cattle Co. of Adair, OK, won third after placing second in team penning and branding, and third in stray gathering. The team consists of TJ Roberts, Kyle Brewer, Brazos Roberts, Blaine Roberts, Kasen Brewer and Tom Dickey.
Colby Snyder with Snyder Ranch/Woolfolk Ranch of Coldwater and Protection was the Top Hand. The Top Horse was Shining TJ ridden by Roy Higgs with Lonesome Pine Ranch in Cedar Hill.
The win at KCRR qualifies Beachner Bros. Livestock/Mill Creek Ranch for the World Championship Ranch Rodeo that will take place November 14-17 in Amarillo, TX. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
